MAS what a mess “!!!!
Thursday, December 14th, 2006Not long ago i took up the post as MSAJ MAS representative as the recent one suddenly resigned. I got first hand information from MAS and i found the cruel truth. The first week into my work , 2 peoples order to buy ticket back. MAS only offer us MSIA student a 10D fix type or 3 mths open type. This is so stupid !!! How if we wanna go back for 20 days or 2 weeks ? even normal travel agency can offer better flexibility !! other than that , the price is no cheaper !!! it is so insane that even sometime it is more expensive than the market price !! Sometimes i take comfort to learn that at least they offer free flight within the peninsula of Malaysia.I didnt complain much as my job is just to help them buy ticket and "to tell them that MAS price not good why not buy from other" is none of my business.
So today i went to MAS office to purchase those ticket for them. To my surprise even the domestic flight within peninsula Msia which was free till now was to be charged 6000yen !! Im feeling more irrelevant !! actually before this for one of the guy i told him the wrong price which made him have to furikomi to me two times - completely my mistake
And now i have to ask him to furikomi 6000 somemore. Even before this he already complained to me that the price is expensive and ask me wether he can pay later…off course i said no !! Although i pity him , i already told him taht it is peak season and the price is expensive. The reason he still wanna choose MAS is maybe in my opinion is because he thought he can get free domestic. I felt so sorry for him that i had to ask him to furikomi to me more money. Actually before this he already borrowed money from friend to settle his payment. Maybe some of you will say that im stupid or whatsoever..i didnt charge him comission for the work i did for him.Like the fee i called MAS etc. I volunteerarily helped him !! I feel better that way !! ya..call me stupid
As a committe of MSAJ maybe i should not say this but i deeply feel that as a society that take care the welfare of students ,we should get the most basic thing for member like getting good bargain for MAS price or there is not meaning like holding function like BBQ etc. After all going back is everyone need. Nowadays i really understand why not many ppl turn up when MSAJ hold any function because i think we didnt care enough for member. And for the committee before this i cant understand why they dont ask for better price and i just talked to the officer in MAS office today which she encouraged me to ask for better price too. Even she is trying to help…thats y i planned to work on this soon !! Hope i can serve the over 2000 MSian students here better. Besides that , i feel that MAS is so stupid as they cant even figure out simply thing like if they offer us better price they will have our trust and "WE" which i believe will be managers or profesional in the future whom will always travel oversea will then return the trust and always choose MAS. Just because they are National carrier doesnt mean that every Msian will choose to board it. Nowadays most of our students choose better offers from other airline companies. MAS is a government-support company so most of the high rank managers only care their own good but not the company thats why they dont have the edge like Airasia as airasia knows that if their business fail they will have no one to cry onto and exactly this what makes them stronger. So strong that MAS as government to restrict their domestic flight so they can have fair amount of share flight. It is so ridiculous . It should be a open fight ..come on !! I just hope one day Airaisa will fly to _JApan !! Afterall this is just my thought…..and next week im going back to MSIA using oversea airline company.
