ooo…forgot to explain a bit bout the place i visited in my last blog. Norikura kougen is act a place 1400m above sea level means it is very cool especially during this time of autumn. It is famous as a mountainous region and for its special blueberry and apple. This area also fame for its horse meat ( bashashi ) , mind u it is considered exotic food and they eat it raw !! even free i will think twice…

so this is some part of the mountain view i mentioned.
bout the pension where i worked has some resemblence to my name where my jap fren sometimes use it as nickname on me !! the name..i wont tell..really want to know meh..okla !! clue is in the pic…

Back to main point…act after 1st day of work we plan to walk around but we were too tire and just went straight to bed.The next day woke up very early in the morning and work till afternoon.Prepare for customer breakfast then clean up the pension…this time i realised when good is not good enough…i gave my best but they complained i was abit slow and didnt do the job well. In my heart i feel wat !!abit down and frustrated but i know i got no right to complain but keep on doing
When i see my fren they were running here n there while doing job then only i finally understand why jap always rush here n there while working !!
At last after the morning job done we were given 4 hours break…much needed break ! Bought a 1-day free bus pass and visited a 40m high waterfall , souvenir shops , crystal clear river view where i said i feel like swimming in it then my jap fren turned their face on me and said dont forget those word. I can sense smth bad coming. They bring me to a river and "hey take a dive"they said !!
Gosh i forgot we were in mountain and it is autumn which means the water is damn cold…almost reach freezing point and they start laughing and said in a serious tone my heart will stop beating if i really swim in it !!thanks , I just touched it only !!
Then next we played some golf…1 of my fren who is the president of golf club in our school encouraged us to play ( maybe he wanna show how good is he ) was so arrogant at 1st and swinging the golf club here n there saying how he will beat us.Course 1 and 2 he won with ease…but dunno wat happened i got some beginner’s luck and finished the 3rd course under par and better than him..:p
But still overall i lost to him but 1 more fren who is also a beginner got the better of him and we ended the day criticising him !!
The second night of work was more happening. I was "promoted" where im trusted to bring out the meal to customer. In my first encounter with customer suprisingly I was being asked…i was so nervous at that time…knowing my jap is still not perfect how if i hear it wrongly, how if i gave wrong answer !! She was asking if the wine i served is "nomiyasui" (i caught the main point only..act she said alot in front…ya u know japanese useless manner intro ) I saw the chef mix it with alot of water so i think it should be yes then i told her yes…and then quickly went back and confirmed with the chef !! Luckily the answer was right !!
Then the more i was being asked the more my confidence builds on…then we had our dinner which was very delicious ( genghis khan barbeque ) The 2nd nite too ended with no energy left to go 4 some outing.
The next early morning did some same routine work and i accidently broke 1 glass…but the owner was so kind he didnt even usher a word of anger instead gave me a smile and said "ahh, souka" !! After cleaning up the whole pension around 1 in the afternoon ,it is time for us to leave !! Then the owner suprised us when he gave us payment as a normal part-time worker there…hey we sleep and eat..and now take his money…the owner is simply just too good. im touched. We got almost rm20 per hour work ( considered cheap in Jpn where u can get rm30 plus for an hour work ) but hey..we supposed to get nothing !!

Dont tell me u dunno who is me in the pic…if u cant tell stop reading pls..:p
The owner send us to straight to train station which is quite far.1 hour plus car ride…again very kind of him.He even stopped once to show us the second biggest dam in Japan. The first is nearby too !!

There is a saying that the scene where the main actress running down from stairs in the famous miyazaki anime "千と千尋" come from the view here !!
That was not all he even treated us to a very expensive coffee shop house. There , i realised that real nice coffee need no sugar or milk or shake it here n there like those in starbucks. Sorry to starbucks fan if u feel hurt..:p
Next we just changed between buses and trains and lastly taxi which took us 5 hours plus to get back to home. Was a very memorable holiday…ooppss did i just mistaken again should be a nice arubaito !!
